Thai Cabinet Revises Up Public Debt Level This Fiscal Year By THB50.82 Billion
BANGKOK -(Dow Jones)- The Thai Cabinet Tuesday agreed to revise up the level for country's public debt management for the current fiscal year by THB50.82 billion ($1.52 billion) to THB1.689 trillion.
The increase came mainly from new loans for investment by state enterprises.
Of the total, THB888.99 billion will be new loans while THB799.72 billion will be loans for debt management purposes, the government said in a statement.
Thailand's fiscal year runs from Oct. 1 to Sept. 30.
